Our Services

Pricing for Hemstitching services are by the running yard.  Before we hemstitch our own fabrics, we prewash; iron; and cut to size.  This is included in the running yard fee.  For fabrics brought in from other stores, prewashing is an extra fee.  Ironing and cutting to size is included in the running yard fee.

Hemstitch Only

•       Fabric purchased in store - $1.40 per running yard
•       Fabric brought in from other stores - $1.50 per running yard

Serging and Hemstitching

•       Fabric purchased in store - $1.65 per running yard
•       Fabric brought in from other stores- $1.80 per running yard

Hemstitching on a single layer of fleece, minky, or gauze fabrics

•       $2.00 per running yard

Other Services

Sewing Ribbing on Overhead Bibs

            $3.25 per bib (includes ribbing)

Prewashing Fabric               $ 2.00 per set

Piecework:                         $20.00 per hour

   (such as booties, doll blankets, etc.)

Crocheting around a blanket Set:

            36” Set              $20.00

            45” Set               $30.00

Blanket Sets

You may supply your own fabric, or purchase fabric from Hemstitching, Etc.  If you supply your own fabric, we strongly suggest that you serge the raw edges and prewash it for maximum quality.  We will prewash for you for an extra fee of $2.00 per set.

We will not be responsible for fabric that has not been prewashed - how the blanket lays together or the shrinkage of the fabrics after it has been hemstitched.

For a 36” blanket with two burps, you will need 2 2/3 yards of fabric, if prewashing (1 1/3 yards of ea fabric color).  If not prewashing, you will need 2 ½ yards of fabric (1 ¼ yards of each fabric color).

For a 45” blanket with two burps, you will need 3 1/4 yards of fabric, if prewashing (1 5/8  yards of ea fabric color).  If not prewashing, you will need 3 yards of fabric (1 ½ yards of each fabric color).

For a Scallop Blanket, you will need 2 1/3 yards of fabric (1 1/6 yards of each fabric color).  Hemstitching Srvs:  $15.00

For a Car Seat Blanket, you will need 2 2/3 yards of fabric (1 1/3 yards of each fabric color).  Hemstitching Srvs:  $15.00

For a Car Seat Drape, you will need 2 ½ yards of fabric (1 ¼ yards of each fabric color).  Hemstitching Srvs:  $25.00

Turnaround Time

The turnaround time for hemstitching in typically two to three weeks (or longer), depending on demand and the season.  It is recommended that you call or stop in to discuss a date and reserve a spot on our hemstitching list.

Rush orders will be done by request for an added fee of $20.00 per hour.

Payment

Payment is due when your hemstitched item is picked up.  Items much be picked up within t wo weeks of being notified that they are ready.  When hemstitched items are to be returned by mail, a credit card number must be provided.  We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
